How to Get Certified
ASA certification is flexible, affordable, and serious—built for real practitioners who want to be the best.
Training Breakdown
- Total Time: 10–15 hours.
- Theory (5–7 hours): Self-paced videos covering anatomy, science, safety, and assessment.
- Hands-On (5–8 hours): Technique videos plus practice: master the core stretches with proper cues and PNF.
Delivery Options
- Online Only (

Assessment
- Multiple-Choice Test (50 questions): Online, open-book, 80% to pass. Covers key concepts like muscle actions, red flags, and scope.
- Practical Demo:
- Online path: Record yourself performing 5 core stretches on a “client” (friend/family). Submit video within 30 days.
- Workshop path: Live performance; same 5 stretches, assessed on-site with instant feedback.
The 5 must-demo stretches: Lateral Neck Stretch, External Rotation Stretch, Chest Stretch, Hip Flexor Stretch, Hamstring Stretch.
Timeline
- Online: Finish in 1 week to 6 months—your schedule.
- Workshop: Complete online prep, then weekend intensive.
Prerequisites

Staying Certified
Your credential stays active with minimal effort—designed to support ongoing practice.
Renewal Cycle
Every 2 years; no full retest. Submit proof of active practice (e.g., client logs, business activity) plus CE hours.
Continuing Education (CE)
- 10 hours required; free and flexible.
- Options: ASA video library (“Advanced PNF,” “Hip Mobility Deep Dive”), live workshops, approved external courses, or shadowing.
- All core library videos free to certified members.
